EMPOWERMENT OF SELF AND GENDER EQUALITY

The term 'empowerment' simply means 'becoming powerful'.  Building personal empowerment involves reflecting on our personal values, skills and goals and being prepared to adjust our behaviour in order to achieve our goals. Personal empowerment also mean been aware that other people have their own set of values and goals which may different to ours.
This has to do with the ability of been visionary and also to create something out of nothing
Gender Equality is about when both men and women enjoyed and achieved the same rights and opportunities across all sectors of society and also aspirations and behaviours of both men and women are highly valued and appreciated.
This is also one realising that your self.worth lives in you.
Empowerment is made up of five strata :
1. Your sense of self-worth
2. Your right to have and know choices.
3. Your right to have easy access to opportunities all around
4. Your right to have power to own control and possess your own life.
5. Your ability to leave your comfort zone and make a positive mark in the environment you stay and don’t stay.

When gender equality is said and packaged nicely...is that all? We need to do less talks and more proactivate outreach.

Why are the women agitating for it..I don’t still get when we don’t have time for our family, chase only money, we don’t care for other feelings, we havnt empowered ourselves to the level that you don’t depend on others...Single ladies that are praying for a rich man to marry them..I truly say it’s a pity to them..
And men that are saying that they also want women not to be educated and be a housewife or even marrying more than one wife...Isn’t when you have an empowered wife that your ministry will move forward or you man who does nothing but maltreated his wife..Is this love for maltreated his wife...Is this love for you?
Empowerment of self isn’t until you know what to do when to do or have certain luck to meet the right person to take you to the next level but its whats inside of you...what do you have to offer? What are your strengths and weaknesses? What are your valves? How has your environment affected you and how have you affected it back?
           I hope we become the positive social change agent in our community and society at large.
